Greetings,
To prosper relationally means to have success and be fruitful in our relations with others. We should all desire this and do what is necessary to have this. So this week I encourage you and me to seek after getting and applying the knowledge to prosper relationally. I have founded it on the scripture verse from the Bible that says knowledge puffeth up but love edifies. Pride, arrogance and acting conceited as if we are better than others will ruin our relationships with others, no matter whether we are a personal trainer training people as to the right way to exorcise or if we are a teacher at school teaching other people things to know, we must do it in a way that comes across to the other person as being respectful, compassionate and confident. Not in a way that says; “I’m better than you and your dome now listen to me”. Rudeness and arrogance is a major relationship destroyer. Our body language and general overall attitude should be cultivated over time to portray the image of Christ JESUS showing love, compassion, authority and confidence. Now we also have to have that proper knowledge and know it good. That comes through studying intently whatever profession we are in. We should be aware though and on our guard that with great studying will come greater temptation to be puffed up, proud, arrogant and conceded. Now our counter attack is to apply the love of GOD that comes from GOD through faith in JESUS CHRIST by praying, reading the Bible and going to a Bible based church regularly. He will give us the strength and ability to love others and edify (build up, encourage, strengthen) them along with our relationships. These words of truth that I write are from experience with confidence and love from above. I find in my own life that relationships could be tricky at times and need room to grow. It’s a give and take thing and there are many different kinds of relationships and we need to pray and know what our part is in every one of them. In order for a relationship to blossom both parties must show love and do their part like rowing a boat. If there is two people on both sides of the boat with oars in their hands yet both are not rowing or ones not rowing as hard as the other than guess what? That relationship will never move forward but will go around in circles and be a waste of time and energy. But when both people are rowing with unison and are together on one accord then there is forward momentum and progress. We each have to do our part. I encourage you and me to apply love to every area of our lives and in every relationship with every person.

In regards to relationships we edify one another by speaking kind words, magnifying on a persons good qualities and not there bad. Addressing the bad qualities that need improvement in the right setting at the right time with permission.
