1 Samuel 30:6; David was greatly distressed and the men spoke of stoning him because the souls of them all were bitterly grieved, each man for his sons and daughters. But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his GOD.

Dear Prosperous One,

Todays encouraging newsletter comes from the book of first Samuel in the front side of the Bible. Theirs two parts to the Bible the Old Testament and the New and the they are both very good to read however for younger Christians and people who are just coming to Christ I recommend starting in the New Testament in the book of Matthew. All ways pray for revelation knowledge and Wisdom that GOD would reveal the meaning of His Words so you could understand how to apply it to your life.

Some read the Bible as just another book and don’t really believe or choose to put there faith in it and for them they get nothing out of it. But others choose to believe in it as the living Word of GOD inspired by Him and written by man and they live of and from it and apply what’s in it to there lives and to them are the blessings and the glory of GOD revealed and shone clearly in there lives. I challenge you to choose to read and make time for GODs Word and believe it and apply it to your life and I promise you will be enabled to prosper and blessed beyond measure.

Now then coming from the book of first Samuel in chapter 30 which I strongly encourage you to read the true real life story for yourself (It only takes about a minute) what we find is King David with his mighty men of valor just prior to him receiving the Kingdom of Israel and him being anointed King. Isn’t it funny that just prior to our promotion and long awaited blessings there always seems to come a big storm (problem) that tries to scare us and get us out of faith (believing the best in GOD / JESUS)!

Anyhow KING David and his men had just come home to find that the Amalekites had made a raid on there land burned it up and stolen there wives and children. They killed no one but carried them away as slaves. Now David was the leader then and the men under him were very angry with him and blamed him and talked of killing him. Nobody was pleased with him or believed in him at that time. Nobody wanted to know him. He’s dealt with this previously too when he went up against Goliath his brothers mocked and belittled him and no one believed in him but GOD!

So what did David do in the midst of all this confusion and hatred and strife? The Bible says in verse 6 that David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord and then He inquired of Him meaning He prayed. He asked for wisdom to know what he should do and the Lord spoke to Him and told him what to do and then David did it and we find later in the chapter that he and his men recaptured all of their wives and children and stuff that was taken and not only that but they utterly destroyed their enemies and took their flocks and herds which represents their wealth.

Now David could have had a nervous breakdown after the tragedy hit and lost faith in GOD and just quit but the turning point for him and his men was when he encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his GOD, prayed and sought wisdom. That is the example set for us today in how to defeat our enemies and live our best lives now! Minus the killing, today GOD is calling us to love one another and love our enemies and he will show us how when we pray and seek him. He will always bring us out on top and make it up to us when we stay faithful to Him. (PRAISE is the purest form of our faith)

There will be times in our lives, when nobody else will be with us to help, encourage and counsel us. Maybe right now you’re in that place financially. It seems like nobody believes enough in you to give you a job. You think you have done all you could and now you feel like quitting. The bills keep piling up and the demands of life are getting greater and maybe just maybe you like many others including myself at times feel like quitting. BUT STOP! Don’t quit. You can do it, you can make it through these tough times. I encourage you to do like David and strengthen and encourage yourself in the Lord and pray to GOD in JESUS name for wisdom and counsel. If you haven’t surrendered your life to JESUS yet and welcomed Him into your life in the full pardon of your sins then I encourage you to do that now today don’t wait the future is not promised to any of us. Today is the day of salvation. Just ask the Lord JESUS to come into your life and save you. Pray, read the Bible daily and believe the best in GOD, yourself and others and you my friend will go places and do things that you have never even dreamed of. I love you, GOD bless you and please send me a praise report soon of how GOD has blessed you.

Faithfully,
