Luke 17:12-17

Jesus Heals Ten Men With Leprosy

 ¹²And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

 ¹³And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

 ¹⁴And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

 ¹⁵And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

 ¹⁶And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

 ¹⁷And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

 ¹⁸There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

 ¹⁹And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

<>Encouraging Letter<>

Dear Beloved,

   As we see in the passage of scripture from Luke ch 17 Jesus healed 10 lepers who were suffering greatly and only one returned to give thanks. Isn’t that sad? But the one who did return JESUS told him; to rise and go for his faith had made him whole. Now the word whole hear comes from the Greek word sozo meaning to save, deliver, protect, heal, preserve, do well.

   Notice how at first through their faith and obedience to Christ they were all cleansed meaning to be cleaned or purified from the leprosy. However after the one returned with appreciation and thankfulness in faith for what was done he received the extra blessings of not only being cleansed but made whole.

   Back in those days leprosy was a real big deal where as if you got it then it ruined a persons life completely. Even after they got healed from it if they did there was a lot of stuff that went with it. But here in this scripture JESUS tells the man that his faith has made him well and whole, safe, delivered, preserved and clean.

   What is faith where does faith come from? Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of what is not seen. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of GOD. Every time we hear the Word of GOD spoken or we read it then our faith in GOD gets stronger and fear and inability gets weaker.

   Healing and divine continual lasting health comes from GOD through our faith. Everything we get in this life comes by faith. If we can believe it than we can achieve it. I encourage you today to continue to press into the Word of GOD and hear what the Bible says, stay plugged into the local church and keep JESUS first place in your life.

   Healing and health is a covenant blood bought right we have through JESUS Christ sacrifice on the cross however just like other blessings we must use our faith to receive it and maintain it. I know this is a difficult message for some. We just expect things to happen and GOD to do everything but they don’t just happen a lot of times actually most times we have to do our part and receive it by faith. GOD will give us the grace to do it if we ask Him to. So we can rest assured in Him.

   We got to believe beyond our doubts and fears. Today I encourage you to drown doubt and fear with unshakable faith in a real and living GOD who loves us dearly. GOD loves you my friend. He desires you to be healthy. You can be healthy and stay healthy in this life and eternally in the one to come. Even though we only live once in this body and its temporary I say we appreciate what we have and take care of it.

   The Lord can move in many ways but most of the time in regards to healing and health he would always tell people that their faith has made them well. So let’s keep our expectancy / confidence in the Lord strong and live healthy lives as we stay obedient and listening for His still small voice! He is speaking, are we listening?
