12-14I'm not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I'm off and running, and I'm not turning back.
15-16So let's keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision—you'll see it yet! Now that we're on the right track, let's stay on it.

Pressing toward the Goal
12 I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it,[d] but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Dear Beloved,
What do you need to move on from? What is holding you back and keeping you down and defeated? Maybe it’s poor thinking, a bad habit like smoking, doing drugs like alcohol, pot, heroin, cocaine, pain killers or maybe its pornography, doubt, fear, pride, jealousy, immaturity whatever it might be today I challenge and encourage you to rise above it and break free by the power of GOD and MOVE ON from all that junk! YOU CAN!
My friend I am an example of someone who was broken and defeated that was bound by sin. When I surrendered my heart to JESUS and called on HIM with my all and asked Him to save me and help me to be a better person HE DID! That was over ten years ago and today I have the victory. I am no better than you. If GOD could set me free and I could surrender to JESUS His son that died for us on the cross then so could you.
It is daily surrender that is required. We need desperately to surrender our pride and sinful nature to JESUS and in return receive His forgiveness, grace and restoration. Its available, will you take it today? Every day His mercy is new and available to us who believe!
The good Lord has such an amazingly great plan for us and an eternal purpose that goes beyond just what meets the eye. See our spirit will grasp this reality but our mind and heart (human reasoning) will always try to hold us back from stepping out in faith and living for JESUS truly and wholly. So what do we do with our mind and heart? I say we put that stuff in check and move on with JESUS following Him the Author and Finisher of our faith.
Friend today is a new day, a new season. The past is long gone and the future is wide open. I don’t care what anyone says I know what our GOD says and that is that you and me are created in His image and have greatness on the inside of us. There is no problem or bill too big for our GOD through us to solve. As we live for JESUS daily by believing and walking in love we will see the glory of GOD in new ways like never before.
